Last year, over Mid-Winter recess, my best friend, Allie Fishman, and I went to Atlantic City for about five days with Allie's cousin, Bobby and his friend, Henry, to celebrate New Years Eve. We spent the week there until New Years and then the day after New Years we went home. When we were in Atlantic City, Allie and I went rollerblading on the boardwalk basically every day unless we were shopping instead. When New Years Eve finally came, Allie and I straightened our hair, got dressed, put on our makeup and went downstairs to the hotel lobby with Bobby and Henry. When there were ten seconds to 2006, everyone in the lobby started counting down from ten and when it was 12:00 a.m. balloons and confetti fell from the ceiling. It was a very fun night.
