Northeast High School FFA established an arboretum on the school property as a learning environment for students, teachers, and community members to learn more about indiginous trees/plants that grow well in the Louisiana soil as well as environmental factors that effect plant growth. This project is an outreach or extension from our previously funded Living to Serve grant that allowed for the creation of a community greenhouse.
