Malaria has become an epidemic in the country of Sierra Leone, and one way to slow down the spread of this disease is to hand out insecticide-treated nets that kill mosquitoes on contact and reduce the spread of the disease by 80%. Last year, CUMC raised enough money to send 191 nets to the home base in Sierra Leone.
