In 1935, Nazi Germany passed the Nuremberg Laws which are considered the founding blocks of the Holocaust. The Laws deprived all German Jews of citizenship and of civil rights. Later versions of the laws (they were updated up until the end of the war) were responsibe for the segregation of Jews from the rest of German society and their confinement to ghettos. B.O.
