Offenders netted in local drug operation, Cairns

Officers from the Cairns Tactical Crime Squad executed search warrants at nine residences from Edmonton to Machan’s Beach yesterday as part of an operation. Nine offenders were charged with a total of 15 offences including producing a dangerous drug; possession of a dangerous drug and possession of utensils. The operation netted cannabis plants, cannabis and powder drugs as well as a number of drug related utensils. Those charged will be appearing in the Cairns Magistrates Court during coming weeks.
