Review: Pros: Jackson Gore. It's quieter and less insane over there...for now. Cons: Pretty much everything else: Poor lift setup creates crowded (and not all that challenging) trails. Overpriced. Difficult parking. I'm also not a big fan of eastern ski areas that construct "clock-tower base villages" like the one at Okemo. Verdict: There's a reason it's nicknamed "Slowkemo."

Lifts: 18 (5 high-speed quads, 4 fixed-grip quads, 3 triples, 1 T-bar, 2 pomas, 3 magic carpets).
