Cairns Detectives attached to Operation Colossal have made significant progress this week with one 16-year-old boy charged with 104 property related offences alone. This week figures identify 8 people charged on 174 charges. The cumulative total for the six week operation is 57 people on 476 charges. Whilst the operation will continue to target property crime in the Cairns area, residents are urged to continue to secure their homes, vehicles and valuables to make it hard for opportunistic thieves.
