Cairns Property Crime Squad officers can announce Operation Torpedo has achieved significant success in tackling property crime in the area since it commenced in November. During November officers charged a total of 40 offenders with 101 offences while in December a further 34 offenders were apprehended on 107 charges. While the operation has achieved strong results police are urging the community to continue to work with them to help reduce property crime. By using a simple, common sense, approach to security everyone in the community can help the police.
