"Urban environment"
Our PARK will consist of a sculptural tower which makes a statement about ideas related to the use of Multi-story car-parks in our city and the way green space is positioned within this environment. The sculpture seeks to express our ideas of transforming the function of the urban multi-story car-park so that it houses areas of vertically stacked green space. The public will be encouraged to inhabit the space whereby they briefly engage in the experience, taking away with them a piece of the sculpture they have removed. This piece or small box that the participant removes will be posted with images conveying our ideas or stance against multi-story car-parking in the city. Within the small boxes will be soil and some seedlings from which flowers can grow (a take away mini planter box). This is meant to be a take-home reminder of our ideas about vertically stacked green-space. Finally, as the take-home boxes are removed, the sculptural form changes to reveal a tree lit from within the structure.
