Park(ing) as an Art Park:

10:00 am to noon

Five advanced sculpture students from Pasadena City College, under the direction of Deena Caperelli, will combine their visual commentaries on parks and park(ing) spaces. The site will include wire trees, seedlings, a barbeque and a life size metal deer. Their objective is to engage people in the streets of Pasadena with discussion and encourage contemplation of the amount of public space devoted and designed for cars verses alternate uses of public space designed for the enjoyment citizens. The ultimate goal for (Art) Park is to enhance quality of life in the city, even if the experience will just last until the parking meter runs out.
