Paul Smith's Students' Fisheries and Wildlife Jobs 2009

Do you want to be a wildlife scientist, fisheries scientist, field ecologist or wildlife manager? The bachelor of science in fisheries and wildlife science offers a science-based, field-oriented program that prepares students for employment with federal and state agencies, nongovernmental organizations, and private industry.

The location of Paul Smith's College, with its own 14,200 acres of forests, wetlands, rivers and streams, offer students ready access to a large number of fish and wildlife species and habitats. The surrounding 6 million acres of the Adirondack Park offers students the opportunity to study fish and wildlife under conditions ranging from highly-managed to pristine wilderness, and at scales ranging from a single patch of forest or a single stream to larger ecosystems, watersheds, and landscapes.

Students choose to concentrate in fisheries science or wildlife science.
