THREE police officers were allegedly assaulted while arresting a man after a violent disturbance at Mareeba at the weekend.
The officers were called after a woman, 26, was allegedly punched in the face at 6.30pm on Saturday.
When he was arrested the 29-year-old offender allegedly head-butted a senior constable.
A sergeant and another senior constable then tried to put the man into the back of the police vehicle but he kicked them both in the chest.
During the struggle police used capsicum spray to subdue to man.
