A 44-year-old Trinity Park man is due to appear in the Cairns Magistrates Court on January 18 after he allegedly bit a police officer on the wrist early on New Year’s day. The offender was being placed under arrest in relation to another matter near a Lake Street cab rank at about 5.00 am when he allegedly bit the male Constable. The man was charged with serious assault of a police officer, obstructing police and public urination. The 26-year-old police constable was treated at a local medical centre in relation to the wound.
