The northwest half of this lake contains 10 square miles of shallow, fresh water with hundreds of sandy inlets on secluded islands. The water is shallow and keeps motorboats away. You can use a shallow canoe or kayak to journey from one island to another or you can even wade to the island of your choice. Nude use is growing and essentially tolerated. Overnight camping is free but their are no facilities.
Directions: On I-90, just west of Moses Lake, take the route 17 exit and get on the South Frontage Road. Go west for 2.4 miles to a gravel road marked "D5-N.E. Take it for 3 miles until you see a series of forks going down to the lake. Find a secluded spot you like.
