"Prometheus, The Gift Of Science To Liberty" By Jack Sloan, 1994.

Set in the campus of a university which holds many scientific projects, this sculpture is very appropriate to its surroundings. It is made of galvanised steel which has been carefully cut and welded to make this powerful tower. It is quite abstract but there are human shapes near the top. Prometheus was a mythical Greek figure who was said to have made the human race out of clay and taught them many amazing things. He was punished by Zeus, the king of all the Greek Gods, because he stole fire from heaven.
