Runic Stone
The Rök Runestone (In Swedish Rökstenen) (Ög 136) is one of the most famous rune stones, featuring the longest known runic inscription in stone. It is placed by the church in Rök ( [show location on an interactive map] 58°17′N, 14°42′E), Östergötland, Sweden, and considered the first piece of written Swedish literature and thus marks the beginning of the history of Swedish literature.
