SWA Los Angeles’ space provides a place of relaxation where pedestrians can seek shade under a structure composed of recycled materials. The new landscape includes an arch built of PVC pipes that is interwoven with plastic bags. These plastic bags were all brought in from home from the numerous collections each person ‘didn’t realize’ they had. As the number of recycled and reused products increases, this project is a way to make the public more aware of conservation for the ubiquitous items we have.
