The Ridgemont FFA chapter partnered with Mac-A-Chee Farm Safety 4 Just Kids group to create a Rural Safety program that addressed critical issues in their community. The Rural Safety in Classrooms project allowed for FFA members to create curriculum to be taught to all Pre K- 6th grade students. The FFA members also used GPS units to map local farms. The maps were given to the farm owner and emergency response teams, so that emergency response times were reduced.
