Ridgewood FFA

Ridgewood FFA addressed the community issue of literacy in science and math through agriculture. This project allowed FFA members to partner with FFA Camp Muskingum and the Coshocton Soil and the Water Conservation District to work with the Nature’s Classroom program that is currently in existence.  FFA members worked with both the Coshocton SWCD and FFA Camp Muskingum to design and build lesson plans based on the science of agriculture that relate to current Ohio content standards.  The members incorporated experiments and other educational tools so that the learning was experiential, hands-on, and lab based.  Lesson plans and an experiment book were provided to teachers so they were able to continue the education process after returning home from camp.
