Cairns detectives are investigating a robbery that took place sometime between 11pm on Sunday June 26 and 1am Monday June 27 in Cairns. A 21-year-old man holidaying in Cairns had been drinking in a bar at the Pier when he decided to walk home. He walked past two men before one grabbed his arm and pulled it up behind his back. He was forced to the ground and his wallet was stolen. The man’s shoulder was dislocated and he required medical treatment. The men are described as being of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander appearance, about 173-175cm tall and medium build. One was wearing blue denim shorts and brown sandals.
