Police are investigating a robbery that occurred at North Cairns in the early hours of Monday morning. A 31-year-old Aeroglen man was riding north on Lake Street at about 2am when he was forced to brake suddenly after four male offenders jumped in front of him. The man fell from his bike and the offenders then stole his backpack containing a laptop computer; phone; camera and other personal items before they fled. They are described as of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander appearance. The man was not injured as a result of the incident.
