Police are investigating a robbery offence that occurred early this morning. A 20-year-old Cairns man was walking along Pease Street shortly after midnight when he was approached by a group of male youths who made threats and demanded his money. The victim handed over a sum of money and then fled to a nearby service station to seek assistance. The offenders fled the scene on foot. They are described as Aboriginal of Torres Strait Islander in appearance and aged in their teens.
