Police are investigating the alleged robbery of a 21-year-old woman on Cochrane Street between midnight and 5.30am on Saturday morning. The victim was near a phone box outside a takeaway restaurant on Pease Street when she was approached by an unknown male. The victim had her handbag stolen and later awoke at a friend’s place with facial injuries and little memory of what had happened to her. The man is described as being of aboriginal appearance, 185cm tall, with a medium build and dark brown hair with pink streaks. He was wearing black jeans and a dark blue t-shirt.
