Detectives are investigating the robbery of a 22-year-old woman that occurred early this morning. The woman was riding her bicycle outbound on Martyn Street when she was stopped by a male offender who demanded cigarettes. The offender then punched the victim in the face causing her to fall from her bicycle. The offender then punched the victim a second time before stealing her bag and bicycle. She sustained swelling and a small facial cut as a result of the incident. The offender is described as being a male of aboriginal appearance. He was about 170cm tall and of thin build.
