Only matildico castle never destroyed. It made part of cerchia defensive the more inner one of the castle of Canossa, heart of the feudo matildico. In century XI it belonged to Bonifacio di Canossa, and in XIII the century it was confiscated from From Correggio that held until the 1612, when it passed the ducato one of Parma and in the first half of XIX the century it accommodated duchessa Luigia Maria of Austria, then mrs. of these lands.
