Rudeness of Drivers with road going from 2 lanes to 1 lane

Category: 5. Difficult Intersection

Cincinnati Bike Plan

Many drivers expect cyclists to bike too far to the right side just so as they can get by this narrow curve with a divider in the middle of the road when heading west bound. As such, it's better for cyclest to take Delhi Ave from River Road to avoid this issue than to Take Fairbanks Ave to Delhi Ave, which this is the point where Farbanks Ave turn north while Delhi Ave crosses over Fairbanks Ave to pick up the main drag of traffic at this point.

The issue is the right hand lane turn to the right to stay on Fairbanks Ave and many drivers expect the cyclist to stay in that right hand lane until it turns, which obviously is not the right thing for a cyclist to do from a safety stand point of view.
