Felicien Kabuga

Kabuga was a rich business man who was known as “the financier of the genocide”. He was very close with the family of President Habyarimana. Kabuga supported and was secretly partnered with the National Republican Movement for Democracy and Development of the Coalition for the Defense of the Republic which was an extremist Hutu party. He had a major influence upon the organizations which organized the extermination of the Tutsi through training militias and forming lists of those to be murdered. The Hutu adapted RTLM as their official radio station which belonged to Kabuga. Eventually Kabuga fled Rwanda to Switzerland, where he was kicked out and went to the Democratic Republic of Congo. It is now said that he may be living in Nairobi, Kenya. BO+IS
