Detectives from the Child Protection and Investigation Unit are investigating the serious assault of a 13-year-old girl at a swimming hole at Bentley Park around 4pm yesterday. The girl sought treatment for bruising and swelling to her cheekbone and nose. It is believed that the offender was known to the victim.
