Servo robbed at knifepoint

A SERVICE station was robbed at knifepoint on Saturday with police using on security footage from the hold-up to search for the offender.

The offender, described as 18 to 25 years old, stole cash from the Shell service station on Sheridan St about 5.15am.

The man pulled a small knife on a worker at the station before demanding cash and running off.
CCTV footage gave investigators a good look at the offender’s uncovered face.

“It was a quick in-an-out robbery and we don’t think he had a vehicle,” Sen-Sgt Dion Readman said.

Police described the man as Caucasian, 170cm tall with a medium build. He was wearing a black-hooded jumper and dark board shorts.
