These springs come to the surface a little bit further to the north at near boiling (194F) temperatures and by the time they reach the soaking pool are a more confortable 105F soaking temperature.
The hike in is a daunting one of 16-17 miles one way by way of the Lions Campground to the southwest . . . definitely and overnighter. Shorter routes can be navigated from the Dough Flats area aboved Fillmore to the north (13 miles) or via Mutau Flats to the southeast (9 miles). The route in from the Lions campground is the longest but provide the easier terrain of approach up the Sespe and Hot Springs valleys. Additionally, Willett Hot Springs is a nice, more private stop aling the ten mile point of this hike.
