This is a lovely cove beach with the most prized white sand (hence the name White Beach). In the summer there are floating platforms to swim out to and plenty of food vendors along the beachfront. You can camp at Shirahama beach for around 400 yen, you pay at the hotel and if you need to you can hire tents too.
