FFA members developed a curriculum for educating their community about biodiesel creation, solar and wind energy. Â In conjunction with their existing PALS program, students held regular classroom visits with local elementary students to educate them about renewable energy sources. A school research station was created to compare different aspects of wind power. Â 5th graders participated in an FFA-led project to create their own reversible fuel cell car. Â Biodiesel was produced for experimentation in community vehicles and farm equipment. Â Over 80 local students were engaged and educated by this project as part of a 3-year project to explore renewable energy options.
