This huge tenement block was built in
1902 to designs by the architects Burnet & Boston. It was built by the City Improvement Trust, who provided several beautiful buildings in Glasgow with the aim of creating decent housing. This exotic looking sandstone tenement has ogee domes, a fine clock, tasteful balconies and some attractive carvings. For example, little angels hold a shield with Glasgow's crest on it. The best view of this building is from the footbridge at the bottom of Renfrew Street.
