13. Statue Of John Elder, Elder Park

John Elder was very well respected in Govan as he owned the Fairfields Shipyard across the road from the park, and also gifted the park to the people of Govan. This statue is by Sir J E Boehm and was erected in 1888. A statue of Isabella Elder, John Elder's wife, can also be found on the Elder Park Trail.
