Cairns Detectives arrested a 19-year-old Manoora man yesterday following an investigation into an incident at a Redlynch store on Monday February 15. It is alleged that the man stole cigarettes and bread from the store and while fleeing the scene, knocked over a 68-year-old Redlynch man rendering him unconscious. The alleged offender was charged with entering a premises and stealing as well as serious assault. He was also charged with an unrelated stealing offence, and is due to appear in the Cairns Magistrates Court on March 11.
