Cairns police have charged a 16-year-old boy with one count of stealing from the person. It is alleged the teen snatched a 22-year-old woman’s handbag as he rode a bicycle on Bunda Street, Cairns at about 7.30pm yesterday. The woman did not sustain any injuries. Police located the teen a short time later and the property was recovered. He will be dealt with under provisions of the Youth Justices Act 1992.
