Cairns police are investigating a stealing complaint that occurred at about 11.30pm Saturday, October 30 on Sheridan Street near the intersection of Florence Street. A 31-year-old Parramatta Park woman was walking on Sheridan Sreeet when she was approached from behind by two people on bicycles. The second man snatched her handbag from her shoulder and fled toward Minnie Street. The first man is described as being of Caucasian appearance about 185cm tall, with a slim build and dark shoulder length hair. He was riding a black coloured mountain bike. The second man was described as being of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander appearance, approximately 168cm tall with slim build. He was also riding a dark coloured mountain bike. The woman’s handbag is described as being black in colour and of the brand ‘Hysteric Grammar’ and a rectangular shape.
