Taxi driver robbed at knifepoint, Westcourt

Detectives are investigating the armed robbery of a cab driver near the intersection of Givens and Dillon streets, Westcourt last night. Three female youths entered the cab at the Raintrees taxi rank around 7.40pm and asked to be driven to a Westcourt address. The offenders then asked the driver to stop before one of them produced a knife and demanded money from him. The three then fled on foot with a sum of cash. The driver was not injured as a result of the incident.
