The Co-op

The building that is now the Co-op was lived in by the Perrett family. It was sold to The Co-op in 1916. It was a general stores which sold boots and shoes, hardware, wallpaper and paint. In addition there was a butchers shop where the current entrance is. Upstairs there was drapery store. Clifford Ruddock, was the Manager of the Co-op from about 1922 to 1953.
Now a supermarket.
