I am a member of the library club (ok, lets just establish i am TOTALLY aware that I'm a geek. Books make me happy. I enjoy my classes-except Algebra which I simply tolerate. =) and the members of the library club were able to attend a teen press conference for the Young Adult National Book Awards nominees. We had reach read a book by the nominated author (I read Keturah and Lord Death which I highly recommend). We got to ask the authors questions, get our books singed and walk across central park as a more 'time efficient' way to get back to school. It was amazing and we talked and I thought, Oh my God, we're kind of friends....I'm a freshman and I'm friends with the Juniors of the library club. And it was just happy and....I honestly felt euphoric. Just wandering around too, in the city and in the park...because even though I live here I don't always get to just wander and admire. (Once again, I emphasize that walking across central park was the most time efficient way!).
