This is the site of a large village bakery. It was owned by the Holbrook family. It produced bread for Abbotts, the bread and cake shop and was later owned by Austin Smith.
The large ovens were sited here. Often on Sundays, the ovens were used to cook the sunday roast for many houses in the village.
