The World's Largest Teepee is a trademark to the city's origin. The city was home to the Blackfoot, Cree and Assiniboine for hundreds of areas. The converging water ways, sloping valley, and cotton wood trees attracted the bison and aboriginal tribes to the area. The aborignal history of the city also contribued to the city's name deriving from many legends and stories.
