Police are investigating the theft of a 2002 Renault hatchback from a unit complex at Kimba Close at Whiterock on Friday. The vehicle was stolen sometime after 5.30pm and was subsequently located after it had been set alight in bushland near Fearnley Street at Manunda at around midnight. Queensland Fire and Rescue officers brought the blaze under control however the vehicle was completely destroyed as a result of the incident.
