Police are investigating the theft of a motor vehicle from the carport of a Ragnar Street residence on Saturday night. Preliminary inquires indicate that the Toyota Landcruiser station wagon had been left unlocked with the spare keys located in the glove compartment. The vehicle was later located at Stuart near Townsville. Police are reminding motorists to undertake basic security precautions with their vehicles in order to avoid falling victim to opportunistic offenders. QP1100424429
