A 30-year-old Manoora woman was lucky to escape injury after allegedly crashing her vehicle into the rear of another car which was stopped at traffic lights on Thursday afternoon. The incident occurred shortly before 5.00pm on Thursday at the intersection of Anderson and Adelaide Streets at Manunda. The woman allegedly returned a breath alcohol reading of .225%. She was charged with driving whilst under the influence of liquor as well as careless driving and is due to appear in the Cairns Magistrates Court on April 1.
