Treasure Island
Category: Hikes and Bikes
Treasure Island is located in the heart of the Manasquan River just west of the Route 35 Bridge. You can kayak or canoe out to this spot from the public docks at Richmond and Broadway in Point Pleasant. Legend has it that Robert Louis Stevenson got the idea for his novel of the same name when he vacationed in Brielle. You will find small beaches, cliffs with a tire swing and paths on the interior of the island. Another way out to the island is on the Manasquan Water Taxi. The cost of the Taxi is about $16./head.
