Two men charged over CBD assault

Detectives charged two 18-year-old Bentley Park men on Friday following an investigation into an assault that allegedly occurred on Grafton Street on May 15. A 24-year-old man suffered facial fractures and an eye injury as a result of the alleged incident. The men were both charged with assault occasioning bodily harm whilst in company and are scheduled to appear in the Cairns Magistrates Court on June 20. Inquiries into the incident are continuing.
