The "Ubudehe" projects in Rwanda were one of the top ten case studies featured in our Radical Efficiency report. "Ubudehe" is a Rwandan word describing the coming together of all sections of the community to dig the fields for the rainy season. Since a pilot in 2001, this movement of participative community development projects has grown and now touches the lives of over a quarter of the population of Rwanda.
