UIL bicycle rider arrested, Mooroobool

A 54-year-old Manoora man will face court after he was intercepted by police riding a bicycle on Smart Street, Mooroobool around 7.15pm last night. Police will allege that the man returned a breath alcohol reading of .234%, he was charged with driving whilst under the influence of liquor or a drug, failing to wear a helmet and drive at night without required lights. He is due to appear at the Cairns Magistrates Court June 4.
