Uintah FFA created and implemented a “Seed to Salad” program that addressed the issue of hunger through the development of a community garden. FFA members strove to ensure that people who utilized the local Food Bank had access to fresh fruit and vegetables.  FFA members resurrected a neglected two acre plot of land to create a community garden.  Educational programming was conducted throughout the process, helping to educate the community on proper nutrition and how to sustain themselves through gardening, whether at the “Seed to Salad” community garden plot or in their own back yards.
